I worked on ‘Tachiste Cross’ late into the night, inspired by Jackson Pollock, the exponent of Tachisme  I admired most, creating the gestural power of the drips, dots and spots that cover the surface of the painting. The symbol of the cross is a worldwide symbol of opposites, with the horizontal bar representing the negative forces of death and materialism and the vertical bar the positive forces of life and spirituality.
