Over the River

Acrylic on Canvas

121cm x 96cm

Inspiration for this landscape painting included the paintings of Constable, the river views in Oulton Broad, and also the lines from a poem by William Morris.

‘Oh June, June that we desirous so’

Wilt thou not make us happy on this day?

Over the river thy soft breezes blow,

Filled with the scent of bean fields far away.
